We are proud to congratulate three Lavelle Prep seniors who have recently been recognized for their outstanding academic achievements by the Scholarships for Excellence program of the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation!
Each year, the organization awards up to 2,000 scholarships of $1,500 and 6,000 scholarships of $500 to exceptional graduates of each registered high school in New York State. Our recipients, Alexander Pascone ($1,500), Alessandra Vinci ($500) and Derrick Song ($500), were honored on the basis of their grades in certain Regents exams, according to the Scholarships for Excellence web page.
Beyond the classroom, these students are also active members of the Lavelle Prep senior committee, where they dedicate after school hours to organizing events and special activities for the graduating class.
Hard-work and passion for their studies make these three great role-models for all Lavelle Prep students. Best wishes to Alexander, Alessandra, and Derrick in their future endeavors!
