On Tuesday, January 7th, the students and faculty of Lavelle Prep gathered to celebrate the annual homecoming of our alumni by attending a Q&A session held in the school’s theater. As per tradition, the panel of recent graduates discussed life beyond Lavelle, offering advice to our upperclassmen about saving money, managing a heavy workload and balancing a social life.
Our students returned to Lavelle with varying experience; as some were attending colleges and trade schools while others were employed full-time. However, each story emphasized the value of putting effort into academics while still in high school.
“This year, we asked the graduates to visit the classrooms of freshmen and sophomores as well to speak about the importance of entering college on the right foot,” Michele Ciechalski, Lavelle Prep’s High School Alumni Coordinator, explains. “Achieving excellence in high school will lead to success in college.”
We thank those who presented this afternoon for being wonderful role models to our high schoolers. You continue to make us proud!
