The Early College Advantage

Since opening our doors in 2018, we have built a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning community where every scholar finds belonging, support, and mentorship across their whole high school experience.

No matter their unique path, students receive the guidance, mentorship, and opportunities they need to feel a true sense of belonging throughout their high school journey. We are proud to hold a high bar for all and build a bridge for every Knight to reach it.

An Inclusive Community Where Every Student Thrives

At The Early College Charter School, we celebrate diversity and believe every student benefits from learning in an inclusive classroom environment. Our classrooms bring together students with a range of learning needs, with 60% general education students and 40% special education students learning side by side. Through personalized support and collaboration with our teachers, each student is empowered to grow, succeed, and learn at their own pace.

Personalized Learning Through Meaningful Connections

At The Early College Charter School, strong student-teacher relationships ensure every student is seen, heard, and supported. Through our integrated co-teaching model, students benefit from increased feedback, personalized instruction, and learning experiences tailored to their needs. Our Advisory program and licensed counseling team provide every Knight with guidance, connection, and support for success both inside and beyond the classroom.

Preparing Students for College, Career, and Beyond

At The Early College Charter School, we empower students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to succeed after graduation. Through partnerships with the College of Staten Island and Monroe University, students have the opportunity to earn college credits while in high school and build a strong foundation for their future. Every Knight develops a personalized pathway toward success—whether that means attending a four-year or two-year college, pursuing a trade, joining the workforce, serving in the military, or launching a business.

Nurturing the Whole Student

At The Early College Charter School, we recognize that mental, emotional, and social wellness are essential to student success both inside and beyond the classroom. Through Advisory, weekly community circles, and support from our clinically trained counseling team of licensed social workers and mental health professionals, students develop the skills to manage stress, navigate challenges, build healthy relationships, and resolve conflicts—preparing them for success in school and in life.
