About Early College Charter School

The Early College Charter School allows students to pursue postsecondary education while working toward a high school diploma, with personalized pathways tailored to their goals. We focus on individualized attention in small classes, supporting students' social and emotional development in a safe, nurturing environment. Students can also earn college credits toward an associate's degree through Monroe University or CUNY College of Staten Island.

Get Ahead of your College Degree!

Through partnerships with Monroe University and CUNY College of Staten Island, our unique program blends secondary and post-secondary curricula, providing mentorship to students while allowing them the opportunity to earn credits toward their associate's degree.

Our Mission: Our early college programs, partnered with CUNY College of Staten Island and Monroe University, integrate high school and college-level courses, creating a comprehensive academic curriculum. Dually-enrolled students earn credits toward an associate’s degree. Graduates emerge as well-rounded, caring individuals equipped with high levels of college readiness.

Our Vision: We aim to provide Early College access to historically underserved students, with varying learning styles and socio-economic challenges, to reach their highest potential.

At Early College Charter School, students are immersed in a college-oriented culture through:

  • Rigorous, standards-aligned instruction
  • College readiness benchmarks
  • Real-life experiences on a college campus

History

The Early College Charter School made a name for itself as a pioneer in early college education on Staten Island when it opened its doors in 2018. Throughout the years, we’ve created a program that empowers students to take college-level courses while enrolled in high school, thereby advancing their path toward postsecondary education.

The Early College Charter School Parent

“Great school. It offers early college access to students with courses at universities and also offers great internships for students who are looking for career readiness.”
