Our kindergarteners are diving into the Question Formulation Technique, a Harvard-researched approach that empowers them to ask better questions and grow as curious, self-directed learners!
Learning this skill early builds confidence, strengthens critical thinking, and shows children their questions matter, helping them grow into engaged, independent thinkers.
This October, we celebrated Unity Day with our annual gathering of students and staff at Lavelle Elementary to build our unity chain, demonstrating our commitment to standing together as a community that promotes kindness. A big thank you to our school counselors for organizing this meaningful event! 🧡

Tell us what you want, what you really, really want… CANDY! 🇬🇧 We are ready for this morning’s Trunk or Treat at Lavelle Elementary!
Our students have been learning about the Zones of Regulation in their Wellness class, designed to help children understand and manage their feelings, energy levels, and behaviors. 😌
The Zones support both academic success and emotional well-being, giving students lifelong skills to control their feelings and how they act.
We were proud to see a group of our third-grade students supporting one another during their math lesson on rounding. Together, they discussed strategies to round three-digit numbers to the nearest ten or hundred.
Great job exemplifying our core value of teamwork!
Meet Murphy the Candy Monster! 🍬 He’s hungry for sweet donations (no peanuts, please!) to make our Elementary Trunk or Treat a success!
