Lavelle Preparatory Elementary School offers a learning experience that combines rigorous academics with a nurturing, student-centered environment. Serving students in Kindergarten through Grade 4, Lavelle is committed to developing the whole child by fostering academic excellence, creativity, leadership, and character in every classroom.

Small class sizes, individualized instruction, and data-driven teaching allow educators to meet every student's unique academic needs. Teachers use student assessment data and learner profiles to personalize learning and help every child reach their full potential.
Students engage in a challenging, standards-based curriculum with a strong emphasis on literacy, mathematics, science, and critical thinking. Writing is integrated across all subject areas, encouraging students to become confident readers, writers, and problem-solvers.
Students participate in enriching specials, including visual arts, music, dance, movement, wellness, and science, creating a well-rounded educational experience that nurtures creativity and physical well-being.
Our highly qualified teachers, teaching assistants, interventionists, and instructional leaders work collaboratively to provide targeted support, enrichment, and meaningful learning experiences for every student.
Students are encouraged to develop confidence, responsibility, and leadership skills through classroom opportunities, student clubs, public speaking club, and school-wide initiatives.
At Lavelle, families are valued as essential partners in their child's education. Frequent communication, family events, and community partnerships help create a welcoming environment where every student and family feels connected and supported.
We intentionally cultivate a safe, inclusive, and joyful learning environment where kindness, respect, perseverance, and responsibility are celebrated. Students are recognized for positive behavior and encouraged to become compassionate members of their school community.
Students have opportunities to participate in after-school clubs, performances, leadership experiences, athletics, and community partnerships that extend learning beyond the school day.
From their very first day in Kindergarten, students are encouraged to think critically, collaborate with others, communicate effectively, and develop the confidence and skills necessary for future academic success and lifelong learning.
