Special Education & Academic Intervention Services
At Lavelle Preparatory Elementary School, we are committed to ensuring that every student has access to the support and resources needed to achieve academic success.
Students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or Section 504 Plans receive specialized services and accommodations in accordance with their individualized plans. Our dedicated team of special education teachers, related service providers, and general education teachers work collaboratively with families to provide an inclusive, supportive learning environment that promotes student growth, independence, and achievement.
In addition to special education services, Lavelle provides a comprehensive Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to meet the diverse academic needs of all learners.
Tier 1: High-quality, evidence-based core instruction provided to all students within the general education classroom.
Tier 2: Targeted small-group interventions for students who require additional academic support to strengthen specific skills and close learning gaps.
Tier 3: Intensive, individualized interventions designed for students who need more frequent and personalized support to meet their academic goals.

Our instructional teams regularly review student progress through assessments, classroom performance, and data meetings to ensure interventions are responsive, effective, and tailored to each student's needs. By working closely with students and families, we strive to provide every child with the tools, support, and opportunities necessary to reach their full potential and experience success both academically and personally.
